London native Andy Chapman joined the MISL's Wichita Wings midway through the 1979-80 season and made an immediate impact, tallying 24 points in 17 games. Over the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons Chapman scored 48 and 53 goals, respectively, earning All-MISL 1st Team honors in 1983-84. Chapman played eight seasons with the Wings, sandwiched around four seasons with the Cleveland Force and Baltimore Blast.
In 1990, Chapman became one of the highest profile MISL players to join the NPSL, where he won a championship and set numerous personal career-highs in four seasons with the Detroit Rockers. Chapman scored 83 goals in 1993-94, and had 114 points in 1990-91 and again in 1993-94. His 1990-91 performance earned him the NPSL Most Valuable Player award. The following season he scored 28 points in 10 playoff games to lead the Rockers to the NPSL championship. He remained in Detroit and had three successful seasons with the CISL's Detroit Neon/Safari.
In 19 seasons, touching four decades, Chapman scored 667 goals and 360 assists in 670 career regular season games.
